You had been dead for so many years you lost count.  You remember almost nothing about your life when you were alive including how you died.  It was certainly a painful death.  You only remember that you were murdered.  You don't remember who did it or why or how, just the fact that you were murdered.  Now you were nothing more than a pale white floating ghost.  You were tied to your old house that you were murdered in.  Over the years you got very lonely and nobody moved into your old house because people said it was haunted, which was true.

One day moving vans pulled up in front of your house and a boy moved in.  He had a cute cow lick and glasses and was super hyper.  You watched him silently for about two months.

One evening the boy was watching horror movies. (like usual) This particular movie was about ghosts that killed a bunch of people for revenge.  The boy was so scared he almost didn't make it through the movie, but he did.  The boy was breathing very hard as he turned off the TV to get ready for bed.  Then you decided that today was the day you would talk to him.  You floated behind him.  Your feet were a few inches off the ground since they never touched the ground.  You leaned over his shoulder so your head was right next to his head.

"That movie wasn't nearly as good as it could have been"  You whispered in the boy's ear.

"WHAAAA?!?!?" The boy turned around quickly with a very confused but mostly fearful expression on his face.  His face went from scared to completely shaking in pure and utter fear when he saw your floating, pale, semi-transparent body floating behind him.

"G-G-G-GHOST!!!!" the boys screamed stepping back at least five steps.

"Yes" you responded floating toward him.

"D-D-Don't H-Hur-Hurt me! Please I will do anything!"  the boy plead in fear.

"Hurt you? Why would I do such a thing?" you asked tilting your head to one side.

"You're a ghost" the boy said as if that was a reason all on its own.

"I will never hurt you" you said starring into the boy's blue eyes.

"Y-You won't?" he asked still not completely convinced.

"Never"

"Oh ok, well that's a relief" the boy said completely recovering from his panicked
expression as if it never happened.

"My name is Alfred" the boy said as he held out his hand.

"I am [Name]" you said as you grabbed his hand.  Your hand didn't go through his hand but
you could not feel the warmth that you had once felt from touching another human.  That was gone.

Alfred shook your hand taking note on how your hands felt like a kind of soft chalk.  Alfred glanced at you to get a closer look at you.  You wore a long white dress that was ripped and flowed behind you slowing disappearing.  Your skin was white and semi-transparent.  Even though you were pale white and dead Alfred still thought you were beautiful.

"It is nice to finally have someone to talk to" you said smiling a sweet smile.

"How long have you been here?" Alfred asked curious.

"I am not really sure anymore.  I lost count after seventy years"

"Seventy years?!?  Why didn't you leave?" he asked still holding your hand.

"I cannot.  I have tried but I cannot leave this house where I was murdered so many years
ago."  You said plainly.

You looked down at your hand which was still being held by Alfred.  Alfred realized and quickly let go.

"Sorry"  Alfred muttered.

"It is no problem.  I cannot feel your touch anyway." You said.

"You can't?"

"No, but it is alright"

From there bloomed a friendship with the boy that you loved dearly.  He was such a nice boy that over time you fell in love with.    Alfred would always talk to you and make you laugh.  You had always thought that a ghost could never be happy again, but you were wrong and Alfred proved that to you by bringing joy you.  But you knew nothing could ever happen seeing as you were no longer alive.  Little did you know that Alfred had begun to love the ghost the he had once feared so much.  After a while it became too painful to speak with Alfred because it brought so many feelings that you could not express to the surface.  You made it so that he could not see you anymore, for you had the ability to control if people saw you or not.

Eventually Alfred got tired of you avoiding him.  He didn't even know why you were avoiding him.  He kept trying to think of something that he might have done to upset you but he couldn't think of anything.  Finally Alfred couldn't take it anymore.

"[Name]!!!" Alfred shouted, but got no answer.

"Come on [Name], I know you're here!"  Alfred shouted once more walking around the house aimlessly.

Finally you appeared in front of him with your head to the ground.

"There you are.  Where have you been?!" Alfred asked with a hint of anger in his voice.

"It is difficult to talk to you now" you said still starring at the ground.

"What do you mean?" Alfred asked.

"I love you.  I love you, Alfred" you said taking your eyes off the ground and starring straight into Alfred's eyes.

Alfred stood there stunned for a minute before the words processed and he was able to respond.

"I love you too" he said smiling.

"But I am dead" you said sadly, hating every bit of the truth.

"So?" Alfred asked in his cute tone that always cheered you up.

"So it cannot work."

"Yes it can!" Alfred almost shouted.

"How?" you asked.

"I will love you till the day I die and after I die.  We can make it work" Alfred smilied before kissing  your pale lips.

After a minute he pulled away.

"It's too bad you can't feel that"

"No, but I remember what it feels like and I can sense the love from you."

"that's good"  Alfred said before kissing you again.
I have had this idea for a while but I think it was a bit rushed and don't think it turned out as nice as I wanted it to

I hope you enjoyed it and commentary is loved

Dang, just like everyone else, I wish there was a sequel to this. It's just that good.
